All POVs--with the exception of a couple--are part of an existing timeline in accordance with the official Expanded Universe timeframe, even though some of the stories do not state at what point in the timeline they take place. Because of this misunderstanding, a small timestamp code was given to show when the stories occur; this timestamp is represented in italics and inside ( ) after the title of the story, but before the author's name. It is determined that the Battle of Endor is representative of 0 with events taking place Before Endor as BE and After Endor as AE. Also, Years are shown as YR and Months are shown as MO: example, (1 YR 1 MO AE).
The current POV is A Lot to Think About by Kyle "Gnoizic" Mandal.
As envisioned by Brennan "Rainman" Roth, the plot of the Red Squadron Interactive Tour of Duty (ITOD) would branch depending on whether a majority of Red pilots succeeded or failed on their first attempt at each mission. It was an attempt to break away from the linear nature of the storylines in the X-Wing family of games, by allowing the story to advance even in the event of failure. Each chapter and mission was written by a different author. (11 MO BE) You can read the individual chapters that came with the missions, or the whole story in collected form.
Assault on Red Base, by Sazril "Yale" Murshid, tells the story of the first (and last) battle fought on and around Red Squadron's hidden training platform. (9 MO BE) The Morning Star maintains a vast library of older stories, some dating back to Red and Blue Squadron's days aboard the Regis and Happy Jack. Stories are in reverse chronological order, the most recent at the top. CRS Morning Star (Red and Blue Squadrons) FRG Regis (Red Squadron) ISD Happy Jack (Blue Squadron)
