All POVs--with the exception of a couple--are part of an existing timeline in accordance with the official Expanded Universe timeframe, even though some of the stories do not state at what point in the timeline they take place. Because of this misunderstanding, a small timestamp code was given to show when the stories occur; this timestamp is represented in italics and inside ( ) after the title of the story, but before the author's name. It is determined that the Battle of Yavin is representative of 0 with events taking place Before the Batlte of Yavin as BBY and After the Battle of Yavin as ABY. Also, Years are shown as YR, Months are shown as MO, and Weeks are shown as WK: example, (1 YR 1 MO 1 WK ABY).

The current POV is Unbecoming and Officer by Meg "Flash" Avern, Jack "Frosty" McCauley, and Chris "Lock" Layne.

POVs below this line are from the previous incarnation of the Morning Star and are to be considered no longer cannon in the new timeline. They are still readable, but no longer being contributed to.

As envisioned by Brennan "Rainman" Roth, the plot of the Red Squadron Interactive Tour of Duty (ITOD) would branch depending on whether a majority of Red pilots succeeded or failed on their first attempt at each mission. It was an attempt to break away from the linear nature of the storylines in the X-Wing family of games, by allowing the story to advance even in the event of failure. Each chapter and mission was written by a different author. (3 YR 1 MO ABY)

You can read the individual chapters that came with the missions, or the whole story in collected form.

Assault on Red Base, by Sazril "Yale" Murshid, tells the story of the first (and last) battle fought on and around Red Squadron's hidden training platform. (3 YR 3 MO ABY)

The Morning Star maintains a vast library of older stories, some dating back to Red and Blue Squadron's days aboard the Regis and Happy Jack. Stories are in reverse chronological order, the most recent at the top.
