Tone (R2-F4)

Pilot: Jeni "Angel" Courtner

Body: White

Dome: White

Trim: Silver

Personality:
Tone acts a lot like an older brother to Angel. He's protective of her and emotionally attached to her, if such a thing is possible in a droid. Tone never seems to leave her side, preferring to accompany her wherever she goes and becoming agitated or distraught when left alone. To those who understand him, Tone constantly admonishes A-wing pilots for going into battle without a co-pilot.

History:
Tone was manufactured with the designation R2-F4 and spent the early years of his existence aboard private luxury liners as a server. Eventually, the little droid ended up in the hands of a young pilot named Sven Courtner. Sven, flying in a Y-wing unit for the early Alliance, was partnered with a gunner named Mishka Nevora and the two eventually fell in love and married.

Together, Sven and Mishka produced a daughter and Tone was instantly taken with the new addition to "his" family. Sadly, the outpost was attacked by pirates and, in the confusion, the young child was taken.

Mishka died when a concussion missile hit her gun turret during the Battle of Tanaab. Tone mourned her loss almost as deeply as Sven did. Then, just one year later, a teenage girl contacted Sven: his missing daughter by Mishka, Jeni.

Once again having another person to care for, Tone quickly took to the young woman and eagerly went out with her during piloting exercises in the Red Training Wing. Then, during the Battle of Endor, Sven's Y-wing was hit and he ejected, throwing Tone clear as well. Sven was recovered but wounded beyond even the help of bacta, and willed the faithful droid to his only daughter.

Now serving as Jeni "Angel" Courtner's astromech droid, Tone continues to stand vigilantly defending the Courtner family's only heir to the best of his mechanical ability.
