Tek is practically the opposite of Lonewolf: he is very talkative and social, though he rarely leaves Barros' side. While in flight he does not worry about getting hurt or broken as most droids do. The one subject he does not like to talk about is his previous owners, who treated him badly.
History:
Confiscated from smugglers and shipped to Kessel, R2-LM was put to work as a maintenance droid and soon earned a reputation for being able to fix anything. No one remembers who first started calling him Tek. He was assigned to the same area of the prison as Lonewolf's parents and they eventually "adopted" him. Years later, when Barros left, he took Tek with him as the only thing he had left to remember them by. The two have been inseparable ever since.
At one point during Lonewolf's pre-Rebellion adventures, a pirate Y-wing hit Tek's dome with an ion cannon. Most of the droid's circuits were fried, but somehow Barros managed to scrape together the credits and/or favors to get Tek repaired. They both agreed to leave his old dome, complete with battle scar, in place.
