Comments:
Loronar Corp.'s light cruiser is so closely identified with its manufacturer that many refer to it as "Loronar-class." The Strike Cruiser's unusual modular design allows prefabricated sections to be swapped out at any shipyard, making it easier to repair or reconfigure, as well as cheaper to produce. The downside is reduced structural integrity and the risk that a single hit will knock out power or other critical systems for an entire module.

Strike Cruisers are used by both sides in the Galactic Civil War. They are well-armed and carry a single squadron of fighters for support . Like Nebulon-B frigates, Strike Cruisers seldom operate alone; they are usually either the flagship of a small battle group, or themselves escorts for larger capital ships.

Tactical:
The Strike Cruiser is big enough to take care of itself in a fight. If a friendly STRKC is in the area (such as Gray Squadron's Waverunner II), protect it from torpedo attack by TIE bombers and otherwise stay out of its way.

If you are attacking an enemy Strike Cruiser, you should take full advantage of an unfortunate blind spot in its weapons coverage. Make your run from astern and low, avoiding its engine wash. As long as you stay within this cone, you will rarely be hit. Be prepared to take a while; knocking down a STRKC's shields takes 26 torpedo hits, or over 420 laser shots.
