Comments:
Following the modest success of the R-41, Hoersch-Kessel decided to produce an interceptor to complement the multi-role Starchaser. The ill-fated T-wing was nowhere near as popular as its predecessor. For a slight increase in speed and stock missile launchers, the T-wing sacrificed shields, ion cannons, and a hyperdrive. In its intended role, it was merely adequate.

About the only good thing about the T-wing was its low price. It was this last point that caused many buyers to order them by the squadron. However, once word of mouth got around, sales dried up. Hoersch-Kessel closed its starfighter division soon afterward.

Tactical:
The T-wing is a cross between a Headhunter and an A-wing, and it flies like one. These days they're usually flown by those who can't get any better or don't know any better; either way, T-wing pilots tend to be from the bottom of the barrel. You may encounter one who's smart enough to use his missiles, however, so watch your lock-indicator.
